I would like to notice, that it has always been believed that men are more risky creatures than women are, but according to the latest researchers women are more impulsive and that is why they easily take risk. (2) Any evidence obtained in violation of this or the preceding section shall be inadmissible for any purpose in any proceeding. Section 4. No law shall be passed abridging the freedom of speech, of expression, or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble and petition the government for redress of grievances. Section 5.No law shall be made respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof. The free exercise and enjoyment of religious profession and worship, without discrimination or preference, shall forever be allowed. Disruptive Behavior Essay
In a 4th grade private school classroom and child showed disruptive behavior when approached with authority of an adult telling him to stop doing something that was in appropriate like calling other studentââ¬â¢s stupid and fat. When a teacher would tell him please stop he would continue to say rude things but now geared toward the teacher. It would take several minutes to get him to calm down. The disciplinary effect after his disruptive behavior would be indoor suspension and a phone call home. Studentââ¬â¢s history at school had been temperamental for the past 2 years and he had been taken out sent to a public school then returned after a 2 grading periods when in 2nd grade. In 3rd grade he had showed the same type of behavior with classmates and teachers. This student was behind a grade and attended class with a relative that was in there respective grade. His disruptive behavior in 3rd grade was slightly manageable after several conferences with the parent. As the student had entered into 4th grade he had received a new teacher but remained with the same students from the previous year and now his relativeà was no longer attending the same school. The students entering 4th grade would be attending another school which had put them into a new atmosphere with new teachers. This change did not sit well with this student in particularly who had become disruptive verbally and aggressively with other students and class property. The student at this point was suspended from the school for 3 days. Upon returning the student seemed content until the current teacher had to leave and he received a new teacher. At this point the student was filling out the new teacher and what she would allow and wouldnââ¬â¢t. The student shortly found out what the teacher wouldnââ¬â¢t allow and that was speaking and getting up without raising hand. The teacher was new to the class, but not to the studentââ¬â¢s, was known for having a productive class with no disruptive behaviors. The teacher had reintroduced herself to the class on her first day and had given the children the floor about what they had been learning so far. The studentââ¬â¢s responded well to her curiosity accept for the student who was known for the misconduct. After the teacherââ¬â¢s first week she decided to reset some rules for the class and allow them to give input on what is allowed and what isnââ¬â¢t. The student with the disruptive behavior did participate in this exercise. She also rearrange the classroom fixed some posters around the room and hung some of the students best work around the room. The teacher put a class pledge on the board that the student would have to recite every morning before class started. As piece of the pledge said, ââ¬Å"I will treat others with the respect that I want for myself and to use kind words to show how Ià ¢â¬â¢m feeling whether I am happy or mad.â⬠The teacher after the second week had seen a major changed in the class and especially in the student with the misbehavior. By the 5th week all the disruption had been gone.

First, letââ¬â¢s quickly review how your grade point average, or GPA, is determined. How NCAA Calculates and Considers Your GPA NCAA considers the GPA of your high schoolcore courses. These include the following: Four years of English Three years of math at the Algebra I level or higher Two years of natural or physical science (one lab if offered at any high school attended) One year of additional English, math, or natural/physical science One year of social science Four years of foreign language, philosophy, or comparative religion Check out your own high school to see which of its courses qualify as NCAA core courses. This means thatyour core course GPA might be a little different than the one reported on your transcript, which is an average of all the courses you've taken in high school. GPAs are calculated on a 4.0 scale. The gist is that the ACT has four sections: English, Math, Reading, and Science.Each of these sections is scored on a scale from 1 to 36, and these four section scores are averaged together to give you a composite score, also out of 36. That said, your composite score doesnââ¬â¢t really matter for NCAA.Instead, NCAA adds your section scores together to get a sum score.So your sum score willbe at least 4 and at most 144 (36x4). Before you get a scaled score from 1 to 36, each section receives a raw score.Your raw score is simply the number of questions you answered correctly on each section. The chart below gives an example of how raw scores can convert into scaled scores. Why is this important? Once you know your target score,you can determine how many correct answers you'll need to get that score- and how many questions you can essentially ignore. Note that the ACT does not deduct any points for wrong answers, so you should still fill in answers to any questions youââ¬â¢ve skipped. You might get lucky and add a point or more to your raw score! (Source: ACT.org) How NCAA Considers Your ACT Scores As you read above,NCAA adds your section scores from English, Math, Reading, and Science into a sum score.For example, if you got a scaled score of 20 on all four sections, your sum score would be 80 (20 + 20 + 20 + 20 = 80). If you take the ACT more than once, NCAA will take your best section scores from any dates.In other words, NCAA will mix and match your highest section scores to get your highest possible ACT sum score. Now, letââ¬â¢s move on to the really important part: how NCAA compares your GPA with your ACT score. NCAA Eligibility: The Sliding Scale For Division I players, NCAA uses a sliding scale that compares your core GPA and ACT scores. If you have a higher GPA, you can meet the eligibility requirements with lower scores. Conversely, if you have a lower GPA, you'll have to make up the difference with higher ACT scores. With a 2.8 GPA, for example, you'd need an ACT sum score of 57 in order to meet the NCAA ACT requirements. You could either aim to score the same on each section- say, around 15 out of 36- or a little higher on some sections and lower on others (depending on what your strengths are). By contrast, for Division II, up until 2018 you'll need a minimum core GPA of 2.0 and a minimum ACT sum score of 68. To reach this score, you could score around 17 (out of 36) on each section, or a little higher or lower in some. From August 2018 onward, however, Division II players will be on a sliding scale like Division I playersand will need at least a 2.2 core GPA. These charts show the sliding scale to qualify for Division I and Division II teams. You will need at least a 2.3 GPA to qualify fully for Division I and at least a 2.2 GPA to qualify fully for Division II. How to Hit Your Target ACT Scores for NCAA: 5 Tips Once you've figured out your target ACT scores(based on your GPA using the sliding scales above), what steps can you take to achieve them? Read on for our top five tips for ensuring you do well on the ACT and qualify for NCAA. #1: Play to Your Strengths Since NCAA adds together all your section scores, all sections of the ACT are equally important and require test prep. However, since there is no minimum score needed per section, you can achieve your target sum score with any combination of section scores. In short, you can play to your strengths. What subjects are you stronger in? Which subjects aren't your forte? If you love English but feel as though math messes with your head, you could, for example, aim for a higher score on the English and Reading sections than you do on the Math section. No matter what, there will always be age diversity. Age is such a big factor that there is the Employers Forum on Age in the United Kingdom, which is an independent network of leading employers who recognize the value of an age diverse workforce. I believe that age will make an impact with the dominance and interactive styles more so than with the steadiness and cautious styles. Dominance and interactive styles tend to be faster paced than the other two and an older individual may not be able to keep up with the pace. The Dominance Style The dominance style is the style that I fall under so I will be able to focus more on it than the others. Individuals with the dominance style tend to be fast paced and decisive. These individuals may have a problem with age diversity due to their pace. Someone who is older may not be able to keep up with the pace that the dominant style wants to have. This will then cause the dominant style people to become impatient because they will be behind schedule. They are also insensitive to othersââ¬â¢ feelings so they may come across as being controlling. The dominance style individuals may discriminate against certain individuals concerning religion without knowing it. The big priority for the dominant style is the goal and they may have tunnel vision and not see anything but the goal. Lack of knowledge of the religion is what may cause the problem. Gender is something that I do not think will affect the dominance style individuals much at all. The only thing that could cause a problem is if someone from the opposite sex is threatening their control or productivity. The dominance style individuals seek to have control and leadership. Differences in skills and abilities make a big difference with the dominance style. The dominance style is fast paced and task-oriented. Someone with a lack of skills and abilities will have a hard time keeping up with the dominance style. If there are a lack of skills and abilities, the dominance style will be less patient with those individuals. The dominance style will stick with the agenda and keep the conversation on subject. If an individual has a low skill and ability level, the dominance style will grow impatient with them. The Interactive Style The interactive style individuals are also fast paced. Older individuals may have a hard time keeping up but the individual style individuals are more concerned with peopleââ¬â¢s feelings than what the dominance style individuals are. They may fall behind their deadline due to this but they will be more concerned everyoneââ¬â¢s feelings rather than the goal. Religion may not be much of a problem for this style because the individuals are more open and willing to interact. With the willingness to interact, they may learn more about othersââ¬â¢ religious beliefs and not offend them. As I have said before, they are concerned with peopleââ¬â¢s feelings and would not want to offend them by not knowing about their religion or at least have some sort of understanding of it. I believe that the interactive style will not have a problem with gender discrimination because their priority is people, whether it is male or female. The interactive style is also less patient if there is a lack of skills and abilities. Individuals may be able to interact better with the interactive style though because they are more people-oriented than task-oriented. That could be the reason that it is called the interactive style. The Steadiness Style I do not believe that age will affect this style much because this style is slower paced and built on teamwork. Their top priority is relationships, so they will be able to interact with anyone, regardless of age. As I have said before, I believe that someone may be discriminated against concerning religion because of lack of knowledge on certain individualsââ¬â¢ parts. Not knowing certain beliefs or holidays may offend some individuals of that certain religion without realizing it. Gender discrimination should not be a problem with the steadiness style because, as stated before, they want to have relationships and teamwork. They seek to build friendships and it should not matter what gender the person is. The steadiness style individual is more friendly and personal than the other styles and this will help them with other people. The differences of skills and abilities should not make a difference for this style. They will be more personal and friendly with people that may lack skills or abilities by helping out and picking up some of the slack. The Cautious Style The cautious may have a problem with age not because of the slower pace but because they may not be as precise and accurate like the style is looking for. An older individual may not be able to be as precise or accurate as one would like them to be. The cautious style will probably not discriminate when it comes to religion because they are concerned with being cautious, of course, as the name states. They seek to be precise and accurate so that will probably carry over to having knowledge of various religious beliefs of coworkers or other group members. I do not believe that gender is a problem unless that person is not as systematic as the cautious style would like them to be. The skills and abilities of individuals will make a big impression on this style. The priority is the task at hand and they seek accuracy and precision. If someone is lacking in these areas, it will not set well with the cautious style. This style does not like disorganization and is very high on preparation and thoroughness. Conclusion The four styles are all different in their own ways and everything is taken differently depending on which style you are dealing with. The key, though, is how someone in a certain style can adapt and work with others from another style.
